I have practiced various types of yoga for over twenty years with an open heart because I find peace on the mat. In 2005, I knew in my heart that it was time to share this experience so I began teaching to a diverse group of local individuals. As my calling deepened, I became a Registered Yoga Teacher receiving my 200 hr certification in Vinyasa Flow with Frog Lotus Yoga in Costa Rica and in 2014 receiving my 300 hr certification in Hatha Yoga with Rishikesh Yog Peeth in India an experience that has added much flavor to my teaching methods. My personal practice and my teaching style reflect and are infused by my love and passion for the Ashtanga system.

I have continued to study with many Ashtanga masters including Manju Jois, Sharath Jois, Tim Miller and David Swenson. In class, my classic vinyasa reflect influences from Rodney Yee, Seane Corn and Jason Crandell. Each of these masters has touched my spiritual practice as well as the integrity of the every posture. I have been extremely fortunate to have a few teachers that live in fairly close proximity – from these mentors I can continue to learn and fill my own cup of yoga energy when I may feel deficient – Margarida Tree at One Yoga Planet, Greg Nardi, Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldman at Miami Life Center.

As I mature, I have realized the need to expand my practice as I come into my golden years and recently became certified in Teaching Yoga to seniors at Duke University. I am also a certified Silver Sneaker instructor (chair yoga.) I continue my own personal yoga educational experience with training workshops at the Miami Life Center and One Yoga Planet – I am genuinely grateful for all they offer.
